300+ certified interpreters in network

Founded by Ahmad Yusuf (Founder & CEO) with Hady Ismawan and Bagja Prawira , Silang.id was built to solve a daily reality for Indonesia’s deaf community: accessibility is still not the default—whether you’re trying to access public services, education, or work.

Silang.id bridges that gap through professional sign language interpreting services and deaf empowerment programs , so deaf people can participate fully in society—without having to constantly “translate the world” just to be included.

What are they building?

Silang.id is building an accessibility and empowerment platform for the deaf community—combining services, training, and job pathways to reduce communication barriers and unlock opportunities.

The platform provides sign language interpreting for offline events and online sessions, along with an Interpreting Video Call service that helps deaf people access services through an app-based workflow. Silang.id also offers video translation (sign language + captions), BISINDO training taught by deaf educators, deaf empowerment programs to build skills and readiness, and job connector support to link deaf talent with inclusive employers.

The why?

Learning BISINDO Together, One Sign at a Time

Bagja shares that one of their founders, Yusuf, grew up close to a deaf family—his mother, grandmother, older sister, and aunt are deaf—and he saw firsthand how often they were discriminated against. That experience became the spark: if society keeps shutting deaf people out, then you don’t wait for inclusion—you build it.

The team describes themselves as “representatives of inclusivity”: Bagja, a deaf founder, bringing lived experience; Yusuf, a hearing founder and sign language interpreter; Hady, bringing the business-building expertise to make the mission sustainable.

As Bagja put it, “It’s like the Avengers coming together.”

From there, the mission became clear. In Indonesia, Bagja says the core barrier isn’t ability—it’s accessibility . Without it, deaf people can feel isolated, anxious, and excluded from jobs and social life. Silang.id exists to change the system: train and empower deaf talent, support interpretation access, and help employers see deaf people as capable professionals—especially when the right support (like interpreters) is in place.

SEED Inclusivity Program Journey

Bagja shared that SIGMA helped Silang.id with something they struggled to do before: measure their programs. He said the metrics feature was especially useful because previously, their programs were running—but it was difficult to consistently quantify satisfaction, outcomes, and program effectiveness. SIGMA helped make that clearer.

He also shared something simple but telling: Silang.id spent years searching for an accelerator that truly focuses on inclusivity—and found most programs were too general. For him, SEED Inclusivity finally felt like the right fit.
