Accessibility statement

Our conformance target

This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That covers, among other things: sufficient color contrast, full keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, descriptive alternative text on images, properly labelled forms, and respect for reduced-motion preferences.

What we do

• Every page is built on semantic HTML with landmarks, a skip link, and a logical heading order.
• Color combinations are checked against WCAG contrast ratios at the design-token level, so failing pairs can't ship by accident.
• Automated accessibility tests (axe and HTML CodeSniffer, WCAG 2 AA standard) run on every page before each deployment, a failing check blocks the release.
• We test manually with keyboard-only navigation and the VoiceOver screen reader.
• Animations and transitions are disabled for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
• Photographs carry descriptive alternative text written in person-first language.

Known limitations

• The virtual gallery is an immersive, visually rich experience that may not work well with every assistive technology. Everything it contains is also available in accessible form on this site, see the gallery page for the accessible route.
• Some older PDF documents may not be fully tagged. The booklet includes a full audio narration as an alternative.
