100% hands-free computer control

Founded by  Pravin Kumar , Dextroware Devices started with a simple question: what if you could control devices like Iron Man—without using your hands? What began as a gaming experiment became something far more powerful.

Pravin met Dr. Nonita Gangwani, a woman with quadriplegia who spent hours bending over her phone, using her nose to create presentations for the university lectures she dreamed of delivering. That moment changed everything.

Today, Mouseware helps people with upper limb disabilities control computers and smartphones hands-free, opening doors to education, work, and independence.

What are they building?

Mouseware is a lightweight, wearable device that tracks head movements to control computers and smartphones—no hands required.

For people with quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, or other conditions affecting arm and hand movement, Mouseware means independence. It means being able to apply for jobs online, take courses, create documents, and connect with the world—all on their own terms.

The why?

Pravin Kumar, Dextroware Devices

Pravin Kumar was a gamer with an engineering problem to solve: could you control devices without hands? He built early prototypes, imagining a future where people could interact with technology like superheroes in movies.

Then he met real users. Dr. Nonita Gangwani, a woman with quadriplegia from Delhi, wanted to become a university lecturer. To make presentations, she would place her phone on a table and spend exhausting hours bending down to tap the screen with her nose—over and over again.

Listening to her story changed Pravin’s entire perspective. This wasn’t about gaming anymore. This was about dignity, independence, and access to opportunity

The team went through countless iterations—from early headphone designs to the refined device that exists today. Dr. Nonita is now employed as a university lecturer, delivering classes independently with Mouseware. She taught online throughout COVID, proving that the right technology doesn’t just enable work—it transforms lives.

For Pravin, the journey revealed something important: “You build technology for one reason, but the market is bigger than you think.” Mouseware works for gamers and multitaskers, but it changes lives for people with disabilities. That’s real inclusivity.

SEED Inclusivity Program Journey

The biggest realization for Pravin during SEED Inclusivity? Assistive technology isn’t a niche—it’s a mainstream opportunity.

Pravin learned to think bigger. Instead of only positioning Mouseware as assistive tech, the team explored how the same motion-tracking technology could unlock value in rehabilitation, gaming, and productivity. Therapists could use it to track patients’ head and limb movements during exercises. Gamers could use it for hands-free control.

The mentorship helped him identify that doctors and therapists play a key role as recommenders in markets like Indonesia, reshaping his entire go-to-market strategy for Southeast Asia.

The SIGMA platform became invaluable. “I wish this tool existed when I started,” Pravin says. As a solo founder, having AI support to validate ideas and document progress made the difference between feeling stuck and moving forward.

SEED Inclusivity also opened doors to partnerships. Dextroware is now collaborating with another cohort company to establish a presence in Indonesia—proving that the program’s real value isn’t just mentorship, it’s community.

“You build technology for one reason, but the market is bigger than you think. We don’t advertise Mouseware just for people with disabilities—it’s for anyone who wants hands-free control. But for people who can’t use their hands, it changes everything. That’s real inclusivity.”
