India | 3 years | Assistive Tech
Founded in 2021 by Lamia Sreya Rahman, Turzo Bose, and Reshika P V., Vidi Labs is rethinking accessibility through wearable AI. Based in Hong Kong, the company develops assistive tech products designed to empower visually impaired and elderly individuals to navigate the world more independently—starting with Seekr.
What are they building?
Vidi Labs developed Seekr, a compact, three-button wearable AI device that provides real-time auditory cues about a user’s surroundings. Its core features include text detection, supermarket navigation, depth estimation, and scene description. Designed to reduce the stigma associated with traditional medical devices, Seekr is lightweight, discreet, and supports multiple languages—making it scalable and user-friendly across diverse markets.

The why?

The idea behind Seekr began with a personal encounter: one of the founders met a visually impaired grandmother who struggled with daily tasks. That moment revealed the broader gaps in accessibility and sparked the drive to create something functional, non-stigmatizing, and transformative.
What started as a vision has evolved into a product that brings visual context to users—without needing sight.

SEED Inclusivity Program Journey
During the SEED Inclusivity Program, Vidi Labs took a significant leap forward. The program’s mentorship helped the team reflect on their goals and expand their strategy from a purely B2C model to a hybrid B2B approach.
They began exploring partnerships with airlines, hotels, museums, and galleries to integrate Seekr into public environments and make those spaces more inclusive. Through the Sigma platform, they gained clarity on their customer personas and applied those insights to refine both the product and their pitch.
A milestone moment was the inclusion of a visually impaired project manager on the team—reinforcing their belief in inclusive leadership and co-creation.
